Veena players make plucky bid

One hundred and eight veena players, led by Isaikalaimani Padmini, will attempt to enter the Malaysia Book of Records for the “most number of veena played in a performance”. The Sri Padmini Vidyalaya Music Academy students, aged from 7 to 50, will play four songs in their attempt to make their mark in history. They are also doing it to create interest in Indian classical music. The event called “Waves of Veena” is organised by Sri Padmini Vidyalaya Music Academy.
