PFA is proud to present its first post-monsoon program of Carnatic Classical vocal music by a versatile young internationally acclaimed artist, R. Suryaprakash. A disciple of Sangeetha Kalanidhi T.V. Sankaranarayanan, he has imbibed the rich tradition of the legendary Madurai Mani Iyer and assimilated the best of other traditions to blaze his original trail among the present generation of musicians. Suryaprakash has a rich concert experience of over one and a half decade in which he has performed all over India and the U.S.A .  The accompanists of the evening are: R.Suryaprakash – vocal, M R Gopinath – violin, Rajesh Srinivasan – mridangam, and N Y Easwaran – kanjira. The program will be preceded by Devi Kritis by Powai’s own talented artists – Bala Swaminathan and Group.
