Dulcet vocals of Hindustani classical singer Shubha Mudgal were perfect vehicle for transporting the city’s patrons to the 19th Century Awadh of Nawab Wajid Ali Shah. The gathering at the monumental Chhatar Manzil, erstwhile premises of the Central Drugs Research Institute, on a chilly Sunday evening, was regaled by the singer par excellence with rendition of the nawab’s immortal musical work at the event named Nazar-e-Jaan-e-Aalam.
