TVH Bhakti Sangeet Utsav will be held at the Narada Gana Sabha from July 2 to July 7. Organised by Chennai-based music portal Carnatica and Parthasarathy Swami Sabha, the festival will feature a galaxy of artists. “This festival will help in showcasing over 2000 years of bhakti tradition. We have selected a variety of artistes with diverse themes to give ideal spiritual and devotional experience,” K.N. Shashikiran, vocalist and co-founder of Carnaticasays. The Utsav begins with an ‘Anugraha Bhashanam’ by Swami Gautamanandaji Maharaj, head of the Sri Ramakrishna Mutt, Mylapore. A spiritual discourse by Suki Sivam will follow a devotional recital Chinmaya Sisters. Other performances on the opening day are by Anooradha Sriram, Sriram Parasuram and Sikkil Gurucharan.
