He died in 1965. But for the rasikas and the faithful, who remember GNB on May 1, his magic lives on in his music and their memories. GNB never went abroad either to perform or for a holiday. His brother, G.N. Balakrishnan, recalls how a concert trip to Ceylon was finalised, but somehow the trip fell through. Yet, his music has traversed the globe by conquering the airwaves.
