Sri Geetagovinda Pratisthana is organizing Ashtapadi, A Festival of Dance featuring classic, recent and new choreography of songs from Jayadeva’s Geetagovinda in various Indian classical dance forms. This is being presented on the 9th and 10th of March 2013 at Kamani Auditorium, New Delhi. The Geetagovinda Pratisthana is presenting major Indian classical dance forms – Bharatanatyam, Odissi, Kuchipudi and Mohiniattam. The festival will feature some classic choreography by all time greats like Kelucharan Mahapatra, Vempatti Chinna Satyam as well as some recent and new choreography. Senior dancers Madhavi Mudgal (Odissi), Deepti Omcheri Bhalla (Mohiniattam) and young maestros Sathyanarayana Raju (Bharatnatyam) and Srimayi Vempati (Kuchipudi) will perform in the festival.
